Our Mission

We help to take the mystery and fear out of the process of dying. By understanding the course of transition and the many resources and options available, we help individuals maintain their dignity while regaining a level of control thus promoting a calm and peaceful passing.

What is a Doula?

Doulas are professionally trained to guide and support the dying person and loved ones. Doulas act as companions, who help with planning and accessing resources. Like birth doulas, end-of-life (EOL) doulas share knowledge and provide non-medical, emotional and physical support through and beyond the transition period.

EOL Doulas vs Hospice

An EOL doula is different than a hospice worker.  Hospice/palliative care workers have a clinical role - helping with pain and medical issues. While they can provide other non-medical support, hospice organizations are often short staffed and limited in the amount of time they can invest. The EOL doula typically is dedicated to your case, supporting you every step of the way.
